Description
G‑CLEL is a syndicate aircraft that has never really worked out for us. We bought it a couple of years ago for £4,500. It has only 137 hours on the engine and airframe, but we had a series of intermittent fuel‑starvation issues which led us to replace every part of the fuel system. The aircraft was inspected for its permit in January; the remaining items are minor — removing some play in the steering by taking it apart and adding shims (full day of work), plus a short list of three small, straightforward fixes.
The 582 engine starts and runs perfectly from cold, and the aircraft is in very good overall condition for its age. It has a new battery, new fuel system, and is generally tidy.
However, the syndicate has lost interest. We can either sell it once we’ve completed the permit work, sell it with the inspection findings noted, or sell it as seen at a price that reflects the remaining permit items. Happy to discuss and find a reasonable solution — we’re motivated sellers as we need the space.
I’ve flown G‑CLEL for around six hours; it’s bags of fun and incredibly easy to fly and land.
